About
Wealden Wheels is a non-profit-making Community Transport company serving all sections of our communities who do not have access to affordable transport. They are based in Pluckley, with a core catchment of rural villages to the north of Ashford. Wealden Wheels have three minibuses (8, 13 and 16 seats), with two being fully wheelchair accessible.
For a modest annual membership fee local groups, clubs, schools, other organisations and families can hire the minibuses, either on a self-drive basis or with one of their volunteer drivers.
Wealden Wheels serve senior citizens, sheltered housing residents, disabled groups, retirement associations, care homes, charities, rural schools and individual families. Members can also be taken to shopping and leisure centres, theatres, the seaside, sporting events and tourist attractions.
Wealden Wheels also operate some regular services: for example a weekly ‘shopping bus’, and a weekly social get-together for older people.
