Park and Switch

If it’s too far to walk or cycle all the way to work, could you park a bit further away and then walk or cycle the final leg of your journey?  That way you get your daily exercise as part of your commute.

Maidstone and Canterbury both have Park & Ride facilities located within walking or cycling distance of the town centre. Why not park your car and switch to two legs a couple of times a week.  Or, if you’re lucky enough to have a bike that fits in your car, bring it with you and switch to two wheels.

Willington Street P&R in Maidstone and Wincheap P&R in Canterbury have particularly scenic (and mostly off-road) routes into town, via Mote Park and The Great Stour Way respectively.

Coming soon to Wincheap P&R in Canterbury is a new Park and Pedal facility, where you can apply for a secure cycle parking space to leave your bike overnight.
